PipelineAgent — phase-based agent with deterministic routing.

PipelineAgent(pipeline: Pipeline | None = None, model: str = '', name: str = '', skip_guardrails: bool = False, max_total_phases: int = 20, kwargs: Any = {})

Agent that executes a Pipeline of phases with deterministic routing.

Each phase runs a scoped LLM interaction (single call, bounded ReAct, or arbitrary function). Routing between phases is determined by Transition and Respond objects on each phase — code decides, not the LLM.

Subclasses can define @guardrail methods which BaseAgent auto-discovers and wraps around stream().

ask(prompt: str) -> str

Send a message with chat history context.

PipelineAgent.reset¶

reset() -> None

Reset conversation history and events.

PipelineAgent.run¶

run(messages: list[Message]) -> str

Single-shot call. Returns final text from Respond.
